Russian Helicopters has delivered the fifth Ansat helicopter in medevac configuration to the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK), concluding a contract for five aircraft of this type scheduled for delivery to GTLK in 2018. The helicopter is involved in the implementation of the priority project, “Ensuring timeliness in providing emergency medical aid to citizens living in hard-to-access areas of the Russian Federation,” approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects.

“Ansat helicopters are serving to save people in seven regions of Russia,” said managing director of the Kazan Helicopter Plant, Yuri Pustovgarov. “The number of lives saved is increasing every time, because thanks to the operation of medical Ansats the rule of the “golden hour” is observed — this is the time for which the victim can be most effectively helped. For this, our helicopters with medical modules have everything you need. In 2018 it is expected to produce the first Ansat in the export version.”

A total of seven Ansat helicopters with medical modules will be delivered this year under the contract with GTLK. These helicopters have a number of serious competitive advantages over analogues in their class. First of all, it is a lower cost of maintenance, training and repair. In addition, Ansat has the most capacious cabin in its class and has a high speed, which allows it to be used for flights over long distances, Russian Helicopters said.

The Ansat is a lightweight, twin-engine, multipurpose helicopter, which is manufactured at the Kazan Helicopter Plant.

In May 2015, the certification passed the modification of the aircraft with a medical module that meets all international standards of sanitary aviation and saves lives. The helicopters are equipped with a system of artificial ventilation, tele-ECG, and decoding cardiogram in real time.

According to the certificate, the design of the helicopter allows it to be quickly transformed into both cargo and passenger versions with the possibility of transporting up to seven people.

The GTLK is the largest leasing company in Russia, delivering air, water and rail transport; automobile and special equipment for domestic transport enterprises; and carries out investment activities in order to develop the transport infrastructure of Russia.
