Many readers have seen heroic actions by helicopter crews in natural disasters this year (for example, the earthquakes in New Zealand, Hurricane Harvey, and wildfires around the globe). Many of these heroic actions could qualify for awards in several categories, so please consider recognizing the person or crews with a Salute to Excellence nomination.

With all the catastrophic events which have occurred this year alone; I wish a new award would be designed that would honor and encompass all of the men and women in our industry, who have gone out to search and rescue, enforce the law or fight fires while putting their own lives on the line and willing to sacrifice their all. Incredible acts of bravery and heroism too many to single out without leaving so many unmentioned. Make America great AGAIN??? We have ALWAYS been great and it’s our men and women from all walks of life and all ethnic backgrounds that prove how great we are as Americans regardless of circumstance!!!! Pretty damned AMAZING!!! Thank you ALL and God Bless you ALWAYS!!
