CNC Technologies, an aviation technology and wireless communications company serving the law enforcement, military and government markets, announced on July 18 its selection by the Pennsylvania State Police to acquire, commission and support a new Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft. CNC won the competitive bid process with a cost-effective solution that allowed the agency to trade in its previous aircraft through the company’s CNC Aviation division.

As part of the agreement, CNC will also deploy a comprehensive airborne law enforcement capability for the agency, enabling real-time streaming of HD video and data between air crews and ground commanders across the state. This includes developing integrated aerial mission suites for the new Cessna EX and for the agency’s existing fleet of Bell 407 aircraft built around state-of-the-art imaging, transmission and moving-map technologies. In addition to these aerial assets, CNC is working with the state of Pennsylvania and regional agencies to deploy, manage and support the state’s overall aerial communications network including ground-based receive sites and command centers. CNC will also provide ongoing 24/7 service, support and training.

Launched last year, CNC’s Aviation division provides sales and leasing of new and used aircraft to government and law enforcement agencies. The division also works with agencies and OEMs to maximize the value of aircraft they are selling or trading in. CNC developed CNC Aviation to complement its longstanding aviation technology business and its work supporting agencies including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Florida Highway Patrol, Michigan State Police, Dallas PD, Broward County Sheriff and Texas Department of Public Safety.

“CNC is committed to providing law enforcement and government agencies with comprehensive solutions for managing all aspects of their airborne operations from technology to training to 24/7 support,” said Ron Magocsi, founding partner and chief technology officer at CNC Technologies. “We are pleased to have been selected by the Pennsylvania State Police for this assignment and look forward to supporting the agency in its public safety mission.”

CNC Technologies can deploy any level of solution from implementing a real-time microwave downlink capability to building out a nationwide counterterrorism network encompassing aircraft, ground-based receive sites, imaging platforms and encrypted communications systems for sovereign state clients. The CNC Technologies team also has extensive experience supporting Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) projects funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
