Chicago Helicopter Experience (CHE) has announced a strategic alliance with Airbus Helicopters, Inc., having received an H130-series helicopter from the manufacturer.
With this acquisition, CHE becomes the first helicopter tour provider in Chicago to incorporate the world class Airbus Helicopters aircraft into its fleet.
This advanced aircraft will allow the operator to provide the safest, quietest, and most environmentally-friendly flight operations – benefiting not only tour goers but the greater city of Chicago overall. The sleek new chopper will be unveiled and conduct its inaugural flight Thursday, July 14, 2016.
The Airbus Helicopters H130-series is in use globally. It provides a large, roomy cabin for a premiere level of passenger comfort and provides occupants spectacular, panoramic views. The aircraft is equipped with the latest technology and safety features.
The Fenestron tail rotor makes the H130-series the quietest helicopter in its class, meeting the stringent noise standards for flying even in the Grand Canyon, which maintains the lowest flyover noise levels.
CHE plans to eventually convert its entire fleet of helicopters to an exclusive fleet of H130s.
