Black Hawk helicopters have been brought in to help combat the enormous wildfires that have spread across parts of Colorado and New Mexico.
Hundreds of homes have had to be evacuated as the fires have burned over 36,000 acres, according to the Colorado Division of Emergency Management. The division helped local authorities in a hard-hit northern Colorado county secure the helicopters from the Colorado National Guard.
The Black Hawks will be used for transport and water drops, joining 250 ground and engine crews currently involved in fighting the fire, alongside five single-engine air tankers.
