Waypoint Leasing Limited, the largest independent global helicopter leasing company, announced on April 24 that it recently completed a lease transaction for one H135 helicopter to ADAC Luftfahrt Technik GmbH (ALT) in Germany, to be used for pilot training.
“We are pleased to complete our first transaction with ALT, an important new customer for Waypoint with whom we are delighted to partner,” said Simon Dahm, Waypoint’s vice president of sales and relationship management, Europe. “This transaction is representative of our continued fleet diversification and ability to support operators in a wide range of industrial-focused missions, including pilot training.”
“Waypoint’s technical and operational experience were of great value to our team in sourcing this aircraft,” said Thomas Hütsch, CEO of ALT. “They were able to move thoughtfully and quickly to provide us with the aircraft we needed in a tight time frame. Waypoint’s strong relationship with Airbus Helicopters was evident in the execution of this transaction, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
Since its inception in 2013, Waypoint has been active in supporting oil-and-gas, utility, firefighting and other industrial-focused helicopter operators.
Waypoint’s portfolio includes more than 160 aircraft for more than 35 customers in 33 countries with total assets in excess of $1.6 billion.
Additionally, Waypoint has firm and option orders with aircraft manufacturers for more than 70 helicopters valued at more than $750 million, to be delivered over the next four years.
