Upcoming silent auction to benefit Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund

Whirly-Girls International Press Release | February 20, 2018

Estimated reading time 1 minute, 42 seconds.

For the last 12 years, the Whirly-Girls have presented a silent auction at Heli-Expo to benefit the organization’s Scholarship Fund. This year promises to be an exciting event filled with items that are suited for both pilots and non-pilots alike.

Silent Auction items have been generously donated by businesses in the aviation industry and private donors. Products such as David Clark and Lightspeed Aviation helicopter headsets; a ForeFlight flight planning subscription; a SPOT GPS tracker; a Rotor Flight Suit from Stephan/H; lodging at the Hangar Hotel in Fredericksburg, Texas; a week-long vacation in Wells Beach, Maine; Colorado craft spirits from Spring 44; two CFI Memberships from Helicopter Online Ground School; a Suunto watch; and unique art, jewelry and collectibles will be featured at the auction.

“We are excited to debut our online auction platform this year,” said Holley Gardel, Whirly-Girls Silent Auction Chair. “The new format will allow participants to place bids online from anywhere, without having to download apps or software, or even come by our booth to raise their bids. They can place proxy bids and set up notifications to easily keep track of the items they are interested in.”

To view the auction and create an account in advance, please visit the auction website. Bidding starts Feb. 23, and ends on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.

Stop by the Whirly-Girls’ booth #C830 on the Heli-Expo floor to view items in person, and to purchase tickets to our drawing for an iPad Mini 4 and several other exciting prizes.
