Safran appoints new executive vice president

Safran Helicopter Engines announced on Oct. 24 that Mathieu Albert has been appointed executive vice president of quality and process excellence.

Albert started his career at Safran Aircraft Engines, in manufacturing activities. In 2003, he joined Safran Helicopter Engines where he took on several roles including, from 2014, worldwide responsibility for supply chain activities and maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

On Jan. 1, 2016, Albert became chief executive officer of Safran Helicopter Engines Asia and the Safran general delegate in Singapore.

Albert is a graduate of Institut supérieur de mécanique de Paris (Supméca).

Along with Albert’s appointment are two other management appointments within the Safran company. Bruno Bellanger has been appointed executive vice president of programs, and François-Xavier Foubert has been appointed executive vice president of operations at Safran Helicopter Engines.
