Saab certifies Axnes PNG system for AW139

Axnes AS has announced that the defense and security company, Saab, through cooperation with Axnes, will move ahead with a supplemental type certificate (STC) and installation kit project to perform installation of Axnes’ new PNG wireless intercom system into the Leonardo AW139 platform.

This will enable existing AW139 operators to retrofit their helicopters with the professional PNG system, the most advanced wireless ICS on the market. Saab is holder of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Design and Production Organization Approval as well as an EASA Maintenance Approval and has the capability to support with design services and modification work for all kind of aircraft, airborne equipment and support equipment.
