Based in Southern California at John Wayne Airport and offering helicopter and aircraft instruction, Revolution Aviation makes many charitable donations each year.

In conjunction with Newsong Church in Santa Ana, California, Revolution Aviation flight school heard about an outreach event to the local homeless community called the Kings Table. Since Santa Ana is a very densely populated city, ranking fourth nationally in that regard among cities of over 300,000 residents (trailing only New York City, San Francisco, and Boston), is it not hard to believe that the homeless population is growing, yet in 2011 Forbes ranked Santa Ana the fourth-safest city of over 250,000 residents in the United States.

As an attendee of Newsong Church, Mark Robinson, CEO of Revolution Aviation, got to thinking about how to bring more attention of the homeless population and growing concerns of the Santa Ana City. What better way than a helicopter entrance to one of the fastest growing churches in Santa Ana.

It was then put in place where two lucky winners of the Kings Table feast would receive a helicopter ride over their tented home by city hall over the City of Santa Ana, beaches and beyond. “Everyday I’m surrounded by the immense wealth Orange County has to offer and I fly a helicopter for work,” said Robinson. “Having this small opportunity to bring these contrasting lives together was very rewarding for all involved.”

Looking forward to 2018, Revolution Aviation is already taking charitable requests for golf ball drops.
