Oceania Aviation, one of New Zealand’s leading aviation companies, has announced its collaboration with Swiss Rotor Solutions as an authorized distributor for their H125/AS350 Maximum Pilot View Kit.
The Maximum Pilot View Kit is an FAA, EASA and TCCA approved STC for the Airbus H125/AS350 series, designed to increase safety and pilot comfort. The kit includes a new single-piece window bubble door replacing the AS350 standard door, and a lower floor window, solving the lack of visibility for vertical reference operations.
The modification provides the pilot an uninhibited 350 percent increase in ‘field of view’ below and to the right-hand side of the helicopter with the added value of ample headroom — even when wearing a helmet. It has proven an increase in both operational safety and efficiency and with forty-four kits ordered and sold, it is evident that operators globally are embracing the modification.
This new partnership sees Oceania Aviation as not only the Asia-Pacific authorized distributor, but also the only approved installer in New Zealand and they are excited to add another quality addition to their broad scope of services.
Swiss Rotor Solutions CEO Thomas Bolzli, the 9,000-hour utility pilot who initiated development of the product, said: “We are excited to work with such a reliable, steadfast and widely known partner as Oceania Aviation. Besides Europe, USA and Canada, this is the next big region we can serve with a trusting partner.”
After testing the Maximum Pilot View Kit, Oceania Aviation Sales Associate and pilot Stephen Green commented, “Pilots (including myself) need only see the footage of this product to appreciate what great assistance it will be to a day’s long lining. Who doesn’t want more visibility when people depend on you, and you want to get home safe. Plus, it adds value to your aircraft that you can pass on. This kit is the point of difference.”
The collaboration is a strong strategic fit and is consistent with Oceania Aviation’s mission to support the aviation industry with leading and innovative solutions and services.
