NAMA Press Release | June 22, 2017

Estimated reading time 2 minutes, 10 seconds.

Following a period of consultation, NAMA has announced its partnership with Global Helicopter Services GmbH (GHS). Recognizing an opportunity to support the market, in particular lessors and owners, the duo of organizations has focused on utilizing each other’s strengths in order to deliver a total fleet support solution.

Effective immediately, NAMA will provide total fleet provision of the partnership including Part-M subpart G services from its offices in Eastleigh and Aberdeen in the United Kingdom. GHS will offer full line and base maintenance capabilities from its facilities in Ahlen, Germany.

Both organizations have made significant commitments and investments to deliver an Airbus Helicopters H225/EC225 aircraft capability to the market.

Kenny Nicolson, accountable manager of NAMA, affirmed why his organization had welcomed the opportunity to work with GHS. “GHS approached NAMA early in 2017 regarding supporting the [H225]/EC225 introduction. Our relationship has continued to flourish and develop with a vision of supporting each other’s business’ growth.

“Having our Part M approval for the [H225]/EC225 has always meant longer term the need to provide a credible Part 145 to support our customers. GHS has made significant investment in building their capability, specifically the purchase of €1 million of tooling,” said Nicolson.

“With NAMA providing our total fleet management services, and GHS providing effective maintenance solutions, our partnership can be utilized to quickly return the [H225]/EC225 service in Europe and beyond.”

Dominik Goldfuss CEO of GHS added, “GHS recognized, following work with NAMA, there were synergies in our strategic vision, in particular supporting global [H225]/EC225 operations. It was logical for GHS to form a partnership with NAMA to use their knowledge and experience of operating and maintaining the type, as we introduce it to the GHS operations. Beyond this, GHS believed we have built an [H225]/EC225 maintenance capability that is lacking in the present market. By offering our partnership to the market we believe others can gain operational benefit, in particular reduced turnaround times and costs reductions.
