Lightnin’ Production Rentals, a movie and television production rental company based in the Atlanta area, has ordered an Airbus Helicopters H130 to provide transportation to its clients.
Lightnin’ Production Rentals is scheduled to take delivery of the aircraft in June. Acquiring a helicopter will allow the company to dramatically reduce its commuting time around the Atlanta-metro area and provide transportation to clients. It will be the company’s first helicopter.
“Getting from one side to the other of the Atlanta-metro area can take anywhere from one to three hours, depending on traffic. On any given day, that means we can meet with one or maybe two clients on-site,” said Gary Lewis, President of Lightnin’ Production Rentals. “With this helicopter, we will be able to cut our commuting time by more than half and visit more clients every day, improving our customer service.”
Lightnin’ Production Rentals selected the H130 after reviewing available helicopters on the market. Among the key factors that led the company to choose the H130 were its large, comfortable cabin and powerful but quiet Turbomeca Arriel 2D turbine engine.
“No other helicopter on the market today offers the same level of comfort for every single passenger in the cabin,” Lewis said. “This is essential for executive transport.”
“We are pleased and honored that Lightnin’ Production Rentals selected the H130 as the best helicopter to meet its business requirements after carefully researching all the available aircraft,” said Treg Manning, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Airbus Helicopters Inc.
Established in 1975, Lightnin’ Production Rentals is the premier rental source in Atlanta for movie and television production needs, supplying generators, trailers, camera trucks, and other tools to its clients.
Airbus Helicopters’ H130 is a lightweight, single-engine helicopter tailored for passenger transportation, including sightseeing and VIP duties. It provides a large, spacious cabin for a premiere level of comfort and visibility, combined with the latest technology and safety features. It is the leading aerial tourism aircraft in the world and is rapidly becoming a favourite for personal and corporate transportation.
