Hillsboro Aviation has announced notable expansion of its five core divisions, marking a period of continued growth despite challenging industry times. The company unveiled its plans for continued growth in its contract and charter, aircraft sales and management, service center, FBO, and parts sales divisions, focusing on the addition of fleet expansions, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership developments. The news follows the company’s unveiling of its new headquarters at the Portland-Hillsboro Airport in May 2016.

“We are looking forward to the opportunities on our horizon,” said Max Lyons, president and CEO of Hillsboro Aviation. “Our new facility has set a solid foundation for the future and we are thrilled about the prime position it places us in for substantial growth.”

Hillsboro Aviation’s contract and charter division is strategically positioned for continued growth in the utility and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) markets over the next five years. With this projected growth in mind, the company recently purchased two additional Bell 205s in support of forest firefighting missions, marking a total of four Bell 205s in the company’s fleet of 15 turbine helicopters and airplanes.

Hillsboro Aviation is also expanding its service center offerings with new OEM partnerships. As the exclusive U.S. commercial sales agent for Airbus Helicopters Inc., Hillsboro Aviation was recently selected as an authorized BLR installation center. The company also became an approved maintenance center for DART and an authorized service center for Cirrus Aircraft.

“We understand the challenging landscape that the helicopter industry is facing and appreciate the necessity for calculated risk during such times,” said Ryan McCartney, general manager of Hillsboro Aviation. “However, we are also confident that challenging times present great opportunities, and have adopted that mindset when strategizing about how best to prepare for industry growth. We’re energized by the challenge and excited to see forward momentum.”

Hillsboro Aviation is exhibiting at Heli-Expo 2017, in Dallas, Texas, from March 7 to 9, at booth #7540.
