CVG Helicopter Operators Safety Forum Press Release | August 29, 2017

Estimated reading time 1 minute, 12 seconds.

Organizers have announced that the 2017 CVG Helicopter Operators Safety Forum will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The event will once again be held at Sporty’s Clermont County Airport (I69) in Batavia, Ohio, thanks to the gracious offering by the Sporty’s senior leadership team.

This year’s safety forum is being sponsored by Helicopter Association International (HAI), which will be providing a catered barbecue dinner for those in attendance.

Speakers this year include Dr. Steve Sparks from HAI, who will present “Pilot Proficiency, Human Factors and the Will Power to say NO.” He will be followed by Scott Dimmich, an American Meteorological Society-certified broadcast meteorologist and TV meteorologist for Cincinnati’s Channel 12 news. Dimmich will present the program “Weather Hazards for Helicopter Pilots.”

The event is open to anyone who may fly in and out of the greater Cincinnati area, including air medical, law enforcement, electronic news gathering, training, and private helicopter operators. Although the event is free to attend, it is imperative that organizers have an accurate headcount in advance. Please RSVP to Matt Johnson, matt@mattjohnsonhelicfi.com.
