AgustaWestland has approved the capability and will begin training Heli-One’s technicians on the repair.
The added in-house capability allows Heli-One to reduce turnaround time on the AW139 main rotor blade repair from 45 days to 14 days or less depending on the scope of repair. This can enable customers to return their aircraft to flight in as much as a third of the time.
“Our Stavanger facility continues to grow its AW139 capabilities and expertise, reducing downtimes and allowing customers to return their aircraft to operational service quickly,” said Anthony DiNota, President, Heli-One.
“Pursuing new repair opportunities with our OEM partners enables us to continuously expand our MRO capabilities so we can provide our customers with industry leading service.”
Heli-One offers more than eighty Heli-One developed repairs and mission-specific modifications for the AW139 including first and second generation exhaust duct repair, Fatigue Technology Inc. bushings replacement, main landing gear, and nose landing gear wheels, tail rotor scissors, and seat replacement and refurbishment.
