Emergco has announced that Paul Allard, P.Eng., has recently joined the company to further accelerate the design and certification of Emergco’s specialty products for helicopter external load and human external cargo operations. Allard’s hiring formalizes the establishment of an in-house design and engineering department for the company.
Allard is a mechanical project engineer with more than five years of industrial engineering design experience with large engineering firms Ausenco and Peter Kiewit Sons, including work on large scale mining, hydroelectric, oil sands, and desalination projects.
With Emergco, Allard will be the project engineer responsible for “Project Optimus,” an internal initiative launched to explore next-generation capabilities in helicopter external load equipment.
“Paul will also play a key role in the certification and manufacturing of Emergco’s upcoming RR02 human external cargo hook and the Mack Innovations powerline and utilities role equipment,” said George Zilahi, Emergco’s CEO. “Having a professional engineer on board enhances the company’s technical capability.”
Allard joins Colin O’Neill, Emergco’s director of business development, as a key addition this past year to the Emergco management team to accelerate the company’s growth and improve customer service.
