G-LIKK will be available for use at Elite Helicopters for private pilot license (PPL) and commercial pilot license (CPL) courses, as well as type rating training and self fly hire to approved pilots. In very near future the aircraft will also be added to the company’s Air Operators Certificate, making it available for charter through its operations department.

Look out for the aircraft at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and all other major events throughout the busy summer season.

“We are extremely excited to have this Robinson R66 joining us,” said Sharon Douglas, co-director at Elite Helicopters. “It will be the first of the type that we have had available to operate and will compliment very well the Guimbal Cabri G2, Robinson R22 and R44, Bell JetRanger, and [Airbus] AS350 Squirrel types that we currently operate and offer training on within our single engine fleet. It should also fit in very nicely alongside the JetRanger for light charter and will undoubtedly be a huge asset to the expanding fleet of aircraft operated by Elite Helicopters.”

“The new owner is well on his way to gaining his PPL with us here at Goodwood on the Cabri G2,” said chief flying instructor Tony Trigg. “Having considered the options the owner decided on the R66. Within a few weeks he had located a very well specified machine in the USA and after an independent engineering inspection it was shipped back to the U.K. and straight into the paint shop for that wonderful new color scheme. We are delighted to be able to add this fantastic aircraft to our busy training school at Goodwood and Fairoaks.”
