Estimated reading time 1 minute, 33 seconds.

Element Materials Technology has successfully completed the renewal process for the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR), an accreditation system which enables prime contractors in the aerospace, defense and security sectors to identify qualified suppliers.

The accreditation demonstrates that Element’s Product Qualification Laboratories (PQT) in the U.K., located in Hitchin, Hull, Malvern, Skelmersdale, Warwick and Wimborne, have met JOSCAR standards of compliance on the full range of PQT and certification services that they provide.

The highly valued accreditation is recognized by some of the largest purchasers in the defense community such as BAE, Babcock, QinetiQ, NATS, Leonardo MV, Meggitt and the Ministry of Defence (MOD).

Rick Sluiters, executive vice preisdent of aerospace, commented: “We are very pleased to have renewed our JOSCAR accreditation which demonstrates our commitment to our customers that the services we provide are of the highest quality and fully compliant with industry standards.”

Element is one of the largest, independent providers of product qualification testing services to the global aerospace sector.

With more than 80 years of sector experience in both commercial and military aircraft and more than 3,000 technicians, engineers and scientists, located in the USA, U.K., Germany, Spain, Sweden and China, the group works in close partnership with all of the aerospace primes and their supply chain partners to help them to develop better components, products and systems to support their drive to produce lighter, more fuel efficient aircraft.
