Controp Precision Technologies Ltd., a company specializing in the field of electro-optics (EO) and infrared (IR) defense and homeland security solutions, has announced the winning of several orders for its DSP-HD – high definition EO/IR camera payloads for helicopter upgrades. The systems were recently supplied to several major customers including installation on United Nations (UN) Mi-17 helicopter, on the Mi-24 helicopter, on the Bell 407, and on the Eurocopter EC145 helicopter.
Furthermore, the Controp quad-HD high definition multi-sensor payload was also recently supplied to an undisclosed Asian customer to be installed on helicopters.
“The recent orders were received after a thorough evaluation process, where our systems were selected due to their outstanding gyro-stabilization, image quality and very attractive and competitive price,” said Controp’s VP of marketing, Johnny Carni. “The systems’ thermal imager with a continuous zoom lens makes them ideal for day and night surveillance applications.
