BlueSky Helicopter Tours Press Release | March 1, 2017

Estimated reading time 1 minute, 55 seconds.

BlueSky Helicopter Tours (BSHT) has announced that they have secured a lease with the City of Waco, Texas, which allows for helicopter tours of the Waco area and beyond, which began on Jan. 25, 2017.

The tours are being conducted from BlueSky’s new downtown location, at 301 Austin Avenue, Heritage Square, across from the Waco Chamber of Commerce, utilizing the latest models of the Robinson R44 and R66 turbine helicopters. This location is a few blocks from the Magnolia Farms Silo’s location (owned by the stars of the HGTV hit TV show, Fixer Upper) and in the heart of downtown Waco.

“This new lease was made possible by the forward thinking of the Waco city manager and the Waco city council,” said BlueSky Helicopter Tours CEO, Dr. Gordon A Jiroux. “This is an amazing opportunity for Waco residents and tourists alike. It’s safe, it’s fun and we are easy to find.”

Tourists are continually flooding to the Magnolia Market, giving new life to downtown Waco, allowing for the need of new businesses to accommodate the influx of Waco’s visitors. This is now being called the “Fixer Upper Effect.”

Tours start at $89 and will provide tour-goers a unique and exciting discovery from above.

One city representative who took the tour said, “I just couldn’t believe how beautiful the city of Waco looks from above.”

The city manager for Waco said, “Waco is already flying high right now with all of the tourism interest and these helicopter tours will literally take us to the next level!”

“Being centrally located in the heart of downtown at Heritage Square, we expect a brisk business starting almost immediately, adding new excitement to a city already receiving world-wide notoriety due to the Fixer Upper experience,” said Adam Aldous, president.
