Bell Helicopter announced on Dec. 14 the delivery of a Bell 429 to Heliand. The delivery took place at Bell Helicopter’s Prague facility.
The aircraft is configured to support helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) and search-and-rescue (SAR) in Andorra. This marks the 20th HEMS-configured aircraft delivered in 2017.
“We continue to see strong growth for the Bell 429 in Europe, particularly for HEMs and SAR mission segments,” said Patrick Moulay, executive vice president of commercial sales and marketing. “The Bell 429 offers the best readiness rate of any aircraft in its class making it the choice aircraft when minutes matter.”
Designed with the future in mind, the Bell 429 meets or exceeds today’s airworthiness requirements to enhance occupant safety, with the adaptability to remain at the forefront as mission requirements evolve.
Innovation is at the heart of the Bell 429 light twin helicopter. The use of metallic and composite parts in its construction creates the perfect balance between rigidity and flexibility, safety and durability. An advanced avionics and systems monitoring suite ensures outstanding maintainability and aircraft readiness.
