Babcock has secured a new contract for offshore crew transfer with oil-and-gas operator TAQA.
The contract, which runs for an initial period of two years, will see Babcock transport passengers from its heliport in Aberdeen to the TAQA-operated Harding platform in the central North Sea, approximately 200 miles northeast of Aberdeen.
Babcock’s fleet of S-92 helicopters will operate up to five flights a week for TAQA, with services expected to begin in early July.
“This is an important contract for Babcock, and we are delighted to have been selected as an aviation partner for TAQA,” said Rob Dyas, director offshore at Babcock in Aberdeen. “Our dedication to safe and efficient operations will see passengers flown between Aberdeen and the Harding platform in our fleet of S-92 helicopters, specially configured for North Sea crew transport operations.
“We are looking forward to working with TAQA and to providing them with these critical aviation services.”
