Aircraft Maintenance Software (AMS) and Cirro by AirSuite Inc. have joined forces to integrate their aircraft maintenance and flight management software into one solution.

“Together we will be offering the very first fully digital integrated solution on the market,” says Michael Kleywegt, CEO of AirSuite Inc. “Basically, what we’re doing is fully integrating the maintenance side with the flight management side.”

“This partnership is a natural pairing. Together, we will be able to offer comprehensive software solutions that do it all,” says Kim Massie, chief commercial officer at AMS. “We recognize that we are the software experts in maintenance, and AirSuite is the expert in operations software – our partnership just makes sense.”

Having the integrated software, operators will gain access to fully digital document workflows including digitally signed aircraft journey logs, enhanced reporting tools for monitoring operations and maintenance costs, as well as detailed reports on technical dispatch and safety records.

“For example, when you change the configuration of the aircraft in Cirro, you will automatically be able to access AMS software that will allow you to digitally sign off that technical change without having to do it physically on paper – it will make the workflow seamless and every document will be securely saved and stored in the cloud without any discrepancies,” says Kleywegt.

Another example is how flight duty times are tracked. The AMS and Cirro integrated software will be able to cross check the number of hours a pilot has on a specific aircraft, including tracking the number of take offs and landings and other statistics that wouldn’t normally be accessible.

“Say you’re a pilot attempting to plan a flight – with our software working together, not only will you will be able to see any open defects and how much time is available until the next maintenance item, but you will be alerted and prevented from planning a flight that would violate either of those items,” says Kleywegt.

Other benefits include increased data security, accountability and easy access to reports for auditing purposes.

“There is nothing else out there like this. Right now our teams are learning how we can integrate our APIs – that is to say, how we can get our software to communicate seamlessly between one another. Our development teams are combining their efforts to create the best quality solution on the market,” says Thomas Grimaud, chief operating officer at AMS. “The only way you can do this is by having the proper expertise to pull these two fields together.”
