Astronautics Corporation of America is relocating its Milwaukee-area facilities to 135 West Forest Hill Avenue in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Astronautics, founded in Milwaukee in 1959, is a leader in the field of aerospace avionics and actuation systems. It has locations worldwide and supplies equipment to a large number of operators and aircraft manufacturers. Its products are used on commercial passenger aircraft, helicopters, business jets, military fighters, transports, and trainers.

As a part of the move to a new location, Astronautics will invest in modernizing the facility to provide a high technology, collaborative work environment. The consolidation will allow Astronautics to achieve improved operational efficiencies through integration of its engineering and manufacturing workforce.

Additionally, the City of Oak Creek offers the nearby amenities of the Drexel Town Center and physically positions Astronautics close to General Mitchell International Airport and the I-94 corridor — making dining, shopping, entertainment, and travel convenient for employees, candidates, and customers alike.

“The new facility will allow us to better serve our customers through increased innovation and more rapid product development,” said Chad Cundiff, president. “The ability to consolidate Astronautics’ engineering, manufacturing, and administrative/support operations into a single space will allow us to continue to lead the market in quickly developing breakthrough products that solve our customers’ toughest technical challenges.”

“The company’s success is directly tied to our talented and dedicated employees that design and manufacture cutting-edge avionics for transport, helicopter, trainer, and fighter aircraft flown around the world. Astronautics plans to immediately recruit from Oak Creek — and surrounding communities — for its manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain workforce,” said Seth Broidy, director of human resources.

Astronautics is currently hiring for a number of key positions and will hold a career fair on April 13 in Oak Creek.
