The deck is made entirely of carbon fibre materials, allowing it to weigh only 26 pounds. The system can accommodate any type of isolette thanks to adapting mounts and incorporates five equipment rails that allow safe transportation of medical equipment and a unique versatility.

The system also incorporates six retractable handles which can be opened either 90 or 180 degrees — making the deck movement and transport both easy and safe.

The aircraft retention system is achieved by means of the current standard puck system and is compatible with the AMS receiver designed for Leonardo and Airbus helicopters; it is also compatible with most commonly used helicopter and fixed-wing base receivers.

“We have developed and engineered the system in cooperation with a U.S. operator for several months to reach this design, which meets and exceeds any of their expectations,” said Andrea Girolin, CEO of AMS Heli Design. “The deck has received an immediate extreme interest and attention from operators, and this is because it’s unique, it’s new, and it’s light.”
