Since September 2016, Airwork (NZ) has delivered three more aircraft upgrades on the BK117‐B2 helicopter, to the BK117‐850D2. This upgrade provides the operator with Category A/Class 1 Performance.
This is timely as a number of aviation authorities push for compliance to such performance levels. Airwork holds the only supplemental type certificate (STC) for the BK117‐850D2. The BK117‐850D2 offers the operator an economical way to meet Category A/Class 1 requirements while dramatically enhancing the performance, safety and capabilities of the helicopter for the benefit of the operator, crew and its clients.
The upgrade only takes three days to perform, achieving minimal downtime and can be done by the operator or maintenance, repair and overhaul.
