Visitors to the Airbus stand can get information on the company’s comprehensive range of civil helicopters and aftermarket services. Exhibit highlights include a scale model of the innovative next-generation Airbus H160 and the Airbus suite of virtual reality scenarios.

Tony Fraser, managing director Airbus AP and Airbus head of country for Australia and New Zealand, said that the organization had been exhibiting at Rotortech since its inception in 2014.

“Airbus leads the global civil helicopter market, and is the supplier of the MRH90 Taipan, ARH Tiger and H135 in service with the Australian Army and Navy helicopters.

Fraser said that Airbus in Australia and the Pacific had a strong presence, and is very proud to support the aerospace sectors including emergency medical services; search-and-rescue; private aviation and operators; offshore transportation; aerial work and law enforcement.

To date, the company has sold over 600 helicopters in the region, ranging from single-engine H120s to twin-engine H135 and heavy-lift H225. Globally, orders for the H160 are secured for the aircraft’s entry into service in 2019.

Fraser said that Airbus has worked hard to improve support as a trusted partner to ensure that it provided a 365 day, 24-hour, customer service hotline together with a streamlined spare parts service to support the helicopter industry in Australia and the Pacific.

“We have also recently introduced a more efficient digital data exchange between the operator, allowing Airbus Helicopters to provide an end-to-end customer service,” he added.

Airbus has a strong industrial presence in Australia and the Pacific, with the business overseeing the sale of its defense and space products in the region. Additionally, the company provides support to civil and military fixed wing and rotary aircraft in the region.
