Airborne Engines wins Tinker AFB contract

M International has announced that Airborne Engines Ltd., specialists in Honeywell T53 and Rolls-Royce M250 Engine maintenance, has won, through the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), the Government of Canada’s Government to Government contracting organization, a United States Air Force (USAF) Tinker Air Force Base contract for support of 28 T53-L-703 engines.

“Our employees average in excess of 19.5 years of experience in technical maintenance of the T53 engines and are hands down the best choice to provide MRO [maintenance, repair and overhaul] services on the T53 series engine,” said Colin Bartole, vice president and general manager of Airborne Engines Ltd.

“Being awarded a contract of this magnitude, by the U.S. Government, is an affirmation of the superior expertise of our technical staff and our commitment to our customers to provide the best possible product,” said Rob Ruck, president of Airborne Engines Ltd.

“As the Government of Canada’s custodian of the Canada-United States Defense Production Sharing Agreement CCC is pleased to assist quality Canadian companies such as Airborne Engines compete for U.S. Department of Defense procurements,” said Cameron McKenzie, CCC’s vice president of business development and sales. “CCC is pleased to be working with Airborne Engines on this important contract; we know they are a quality supplier of Canadian aerospace and defense expertise.”

The work will be primarily performed at Airborne Engines maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in Delta, British Columbia, and is expected to be complete by Feb. 26, 2021. Airborne Engines Ltd. takes pride in supporting this critical platform for the United States Military.
