One-stop shop

Traditional helicopter ownership can be a complex and cumbersome experience, involving a long list of individual vendors needed to support an operator through the entire life cycle of the aircraft.

One vendor may source the aircraft for purchase, another may inspect it during the acquisition process, another may be required for import and completion work, and finally a series of others for maintenance and support.

However, there is an easier and more efficient approach–one that brings all of these services and more under a single umbrella. That’s the kind of simplified, customized, turn-key solution EuroTec Vertical Flight Solutions has been offering for years, serving Airbus helicopter owner/operators around the world with meticulous attention to detail and a genuine passion for the industry.

“It’s the ability for clients to come and deal with one vendor for literally everything: acquisition, ownership, maintenance and support,” said Chad Decker, the company’s founder and president. “It’s what separates us from a lot of companies in the industry.”

EuroTec was established in 2000 as a traditional supply services organization, but the company quickly transitioned into a full service provider by establishing itself as a one-stop shop for Airbus rotorcraft support.

With an initial focus on Airbus AS350/355 helicopters, the company expanded by supporting Turbomeca engines (now known as Safran Helicopter Engines).

The company later added Airbus EC120/H120, EC130/H130, EC135/H135 and BK117 platforms to its growing list of capabilities.  In 2008, EuroTec received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 and EASA certifications to provide helicopter maintenance-related services and completions.

“It was the final step to achieve our goal as a comprehensive helicopter sales and support company,” said Decker.

The company has grown substantially since then, expanding from its base in Kansas, to other locations including EuroTec Canada Ltd. In 2011, EuroTec opened its second 24,000-square-foot helicopter maintenance and completion center, located just outside of Toronto.

“We’re very customer-focused and quality-driven,” said Hoss Golanbari, vice president and co-owner of EuroTec Canada. “We employ some of the best people in the industry that take great pride in their work and consistently produce a quality product that exceeds overall expectations.”

Both Decker and Golanbari have a genuine passion for the helicopter industry, something that filters down through the entire organization.   Many employees at EuroTec have been with the company since its inception–key in terms of the company’s overall experience.

“It’s our people who make the difference,” said Decker.

EuroTec employs pilots, technicians, and supply chain personnel who understand the complexities of helicopter ownership, maintenance and operation.

EuroTec services include aircraft sales and leasing, pre-buy inspections, custom completions, avionics, paint, supply chain management and support, and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). The company is also an authorized distributor and service center for many original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products.

Clients call EuroTec for many reasons, including international aircraft acquisition due to the uncertainties in dealing overseas. EuroTec excels at this by mitigating risk for the client with its ability to inspect, acquire, complete, close and deliver a turn-key product. Every deal and completion is custom-tailored to the client and further supported by a team of people with in-depth knowledge of the aircraft and its operating systems.

While focused on Airbus and Safran products, EuroTec also owns and services Leonardo (formerly AgustaWestland) and Bell helicopters, based on existing needs of its clientele.

“Some operators are diversified, having more than one product in their fleet,” said Decker. “We’re here to address all long term needs for the client.  It’s typical for us to adapt and adjust to customer requirements by adding new capabilities.”

As the company moves forward, its goals are to evolve along with technology and continue to be exceptional at what it does.

“Although the company has grown, our core values are entrenched within us. Without our customers, we are nothing,” added Golanbari.

“Whether you’re new or an existing veteran in the industry, EuroTec is a solid partner of choice
in terms of exceptional service and support,”
said Decker.

EuroTec is an excellent solution to help guide and support owners through the process of new and existing helicopter ownership, maintenance and supply chain support. The company is truly passionate about the industry and every relationship is built to produce consistent long-term value that helps clients grow.

“Sales, service and support– that’s EuroTec!”
