Helicopter Association International has extended the deadline for nominations for the 2019 Salute to Excellence Awards to Oct. 19.
The awards, created to encourage and celebrate the highest standards of professionalism in helicopter aviation, will be presented March 6 during HAI Heli-Expo 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.
HAI said it was extending the deadline for nominations “due to an extremely active summer flying season,” and called for submissions to recognize exceptional individuals working within the industry in one of nine categories:
· Golden Hour Award (Air Medical)
· Pilot of the Year Award
· Lifetime Achievement Award
· Safety Award
· Excellence in Communications
· Law Enforcement Award
· Excellence in Helicopter Maintenance Award
· Humanitarian Service Award
· W.A. “Dub” Blessing Flight Instructor of the Year Award
Nominations can be submitted online at rotor.org/salute.
