SKILLS & ABILITIES• Proven experience in organizing and leading diverse teams, problem solving and managing multiple projects.• Familiar with product configuration management.• Experience with developing SOW, product and task descriptions, project plans, schedules and estimates to support the management of FAA, TC and STC certification program.• Successful execution experience in FAA and Military aircraft subsystem integration programs.• Familiar with qualification and certification efforts via PSCP, AQP and/or equivalent certification plan.• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and test/engineering procedures.• Ability to review and approve technical drawings and documents.• Broad knowledge of aerospace program and manufacturing techniques.• Extensive knowledge of aviation systems, FAA regulations, government contracts, design specifications, FAA certification programs, and helicopter and/or airplane assembly processes.• Avionics integration and design experience is strongly preferred. • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and corrective actions. • Familiarity with MD Helicopters product line is beneficial.• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.• Approved access to export controlled information.• Ability to work in a matrix organization. • Willing to travel up to 25%.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field from four-year college or university. • 5 plus years related experience i.e. Project Engineering, Program Management, Design Engineering, or other closely related functions in support of managing commercial helicopter products; or equivalent combination of education and experienceThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
