Knowledge & SkillsExtensive knowledge of NDT methods, procedures, scope and limitations is required.Extensive knowledge of aircraft/engine maintenance operation and personnel management. Capable of establishing NDT processes, interpreting specifications, codes and Technical Manuals designating particular NDT processes. Thorough knowledge of a contractor’s responsibilities in NDT personnel training, qualification and certification in accordance with NAS-410 is needed. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Able to read, write, speak and understand American English. Ability to meet vision standards specified in NAS 410. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to maintain required Security Clearance. Must be able to provide copies of written and practical test results in all methods administered by a Certified Level III. Must be able to produce records of time on process and certificates of training IAW NAS 410 to include hours in training.Possession of a valid driver’s license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privileges.Experience & EducationHigh School degree or equivalent required.Certified Level III performing NDT on components required. Prior experience performing NDT on assigned engine components desired. Graduation from NDT School desired.Physical Requirements/Working EnvironmentNight work may be requiredMust be able to lift a minimum weight of 50 lbs.Must stand for prolonged periods of time, and have the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
