Eligibility QualificationsMust have a valid Airframe and Powerplant certificateMust pass a background check and pre-employment drug screenMust have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986 Education and ExperienceHigh School graduate or equivalent; College PreferredA & P license requiredCompletion of formal aircraft maintenance training for turbine powered airplanesMinimum 3-5 years transport-category jet aircraft-related experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform all job tasks.Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions. Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPM and ATA codes. Knowledge & SkillsEffective Communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be computer literate and functional with MS Office, CAMP, Flight Docs, and similar applicationsExcellent working knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and methodsUnderstands OEM technical data manuals, and how to quickly obtain needed information and proceduresMinimum 5 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic and/or inspector for large, multi-engine jet aircraft Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
