Coeur d Alene, Idaho DATE HeliWagonTM announced this week that the company has delivered a new HeliWagon to the Erie County Sheriffs department.
I saw one of the HeliWagons demonstrated at ALEA and I knew we needed one, said Erie County Sheriffs Department Captain Kevin Caffery.  Our tug needed replacing, our trailer needed refurbishing and I did the math.  When I saw the HeliWagon it was a no brainer.  I knew the all-inclusive unit was what we needed.
The HeliWagon eliminates the need for costly tugs and other attachments. Operators do not have to attach a tug to the trailer and then pull a helicopter in and out of a hangar.  Pilots can land directly on the HeliWagon and then use a remote from the hangar or the cockpit to transport in and out as needed.
The HeliWagon gives us a quicker response time and that allows us to protect and serve our citizens better.  When a search is on and lives are on the line, every second counts, said Caffery.
We are proud to continue to serve the great law enforcement airborne operations that protect and serve us on a daily basis, said HeliWagon Vice President Brad Seibold.   If we can provide them a product that enables them to complete their mission of saving lives and make their response time quicker when lives hang in the balance, we have done our job.  Our HeliWagon not only saves time, but also money.  Why buy two pieces of equipment when you only need to buy one.  It is an honor for HeliWagon to be a part of that mission.
