On March 13, the RCAF’s 10th new Boeing CH-147F Chinook was delivered. The delivery flight originated at the Boeing factory in Ridley Park, Pa., and landed at Pearson International in Toronto for customs clearance and fuel (shown here). The flight then proceeded to the Chinook’s home base at CFB Petawawa, Ont. The Canadian government ordered 15 CH-147Fs in 2009 in a $5 billion deal. The first was officially delivered in June 2013, with an average of one aircraft delivered per month since then. The entire fleet of CH-147F Chinooks are operated by 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron at CFB Petawawa, reporting to 1 Wing Kingston, Ont.
