Wednesday February 22nd 2012 - SkyTrac

SkyTrac Systems is pleased to announce the addition of the ISAT-200A to its product line.  The enhanced full featured SatCom transceiver will be launched at Heli Expo 2012 in Dallas, Texas.  The ISAT-200A provides automatic, global, real time flight following, SMS text messaging and RUDICS data transfer using Iridium’s next generation modem (9523).  Its expanded flexible IO interfaces offers new integration options that support clients’ FOQUA and SMS programs.

Highlights of the new features the ISAT-200A offers include enhanced cabin connectivity via a POTS or DPL handset, integrated MEMS multi-axis accelerometer for flight profiling as well as expanded audio recording capabilities.  Specifically, the ISAT-200A has the ability to enable audio recording of Iridium satellite calls or the cockpit audio to an embedded Hardened Memory Module.

The ISAT-200A is compatible with the ISAT-200 “smart” tray which stores configuration information such as reporting intervals and aircraft registration number.  With the enhanced connectivity in the ISAT-200A, users can now easily set exceedance trigger points and enable and configure “history on demand” through SkyTrac’s online software, SkyWeb.

Kathleen Wallace, President and CEO of SkyTrac Systems commented, “The ISAT-200A was designed by our in house engineering team based on customer feedback of our second generation hardware combined with the latest technological advances in the industry.  We are very proud to introduce the ISAT-200A, complete with enhanced ground station software. This is a major milestone in our industry and we are very excited to be at the leading edge.”
