As part of the AS9100 certification, United Rotorcraft has been certified to the latest ISO9001 standards as well. The Division has been certified to the ISO9001 standard since 2004.
“United Rotorcraft is very pleased to have earned the AS9100 Rev. C certification,” said Tom Curtis, President, United Rotorcraft. “Earning this industry-standard certification of our processes is a great milestone and further confirmation to our customers that we meet customer requirements and exceed their expectations.”
Developed specifically for the aviation, space and defense industries, the AS9100 standard was established by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) for the purpose of achieving significant industry improvements in quality, safety, and customer service, as well as reductions in cost throughout the value stream. AS9100 is globally recognized and incorporates best practices from across the aerospace and defense industry. The latest revision of AS9100, known as Rev. C, places additional emphasis on risk management and mitigation, stresses supply chain management controls, and assigns greater focus on planning and project management, which are all designed to ensure a higher level of customer satisfaction and quality.
