NYCO has announced that Pratt & Whitney Canada recently approved NYCO’s Turbonycoil 600, a synthetic standard turbine oil, for use in PW200 family and PT6T engines. These engines power the majority of today’s light twin and medium helicopters for civil and military applications.
“This new approval for our reference standard turbine oil demonstrates our continuous efforts to develop partnerships with all OEMs and our will to offer the most exhaustive range of solutions to our civil and military customers around the world,” said Guillaume Forestier, director of NYCO Aeronautics division.
Arnaud Radigue, director of NYCO Defence division, also added that, “this approval confirms NYCO’s ability to support administrations’ fleets operating these engines on many platforms including Bell 412/CH-146 Griffon, Agusta-Bell AB. 212, Sikorsky H-34/S-58T.”
Approved against demanding specifications, including SAE AS5780 SPC Class and MIL-PRF-23699 F STD Class, Turbonycoil 600 is approved by all major engine manufacturers (General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Rolls-Royce, Snecma, Turbomeca, CFMI, Klimov, Motor Sich, Aviadvigatel).
Turbonycoil 600 offers outstanding benefits including:
  • Engine cleanliness (excellent non-coking performance);
  • Low volatility at high temperature;
  • High flash point;
  • Low foaming tendency;
  • Superior lubricity.
