Night vision leader REBTECH has announced that Stephen “Steve” Sharp has recently joined the company in the newly created position as executive director of business development, based at the company’s main offices in Bedford, Texas. Sharp brings with him over 30 years of night vision lighting experience with many related FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) to his credit. Sharp also designed, integrated and received approval of the first STC in the United States for a night vision lighting system for rotorcraft without flight restrictions and has been awarded a U.S. patent for a dual mode cockpit utility light.
In his new position, Sharp will be involved with several areas of the company’s continued growth and product development as well as sales and marketing efforts. Company president Richard Borkowski commented, “Steve’s appointment is the culmination of an extensive search for someone with his extensive background and experience in the night vision and lighting disciplines. We’re pleased to have him join us at REBTECH and I look forward to his influence and direction.”
