Presagis showcases new modeling and simulation software suite at I/ITSEC 2015

Presagis Press Release | November 30, 2015

Estimated reading time 3 minutes, 28 seconds.

Presagis will be demonstrating its latest modeling and simulation (M&S) software portfolio, M&S Suite 15, at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) taking place Nov. 30 to Dec. 3 in Orlando, Fla. (Booth: No. 821)
I/ITSEC attendees will have a chance to see the latest enhancements in Presagis’ Ondulus line of high-fidelity non-ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) sensor simulators.
Ondulus Radar 15 adds Moving Target Indicator and Strip Synthetic Aperture Radar modes as well as enhanced networking support. In addition, visitors will also have a sneak peek of the upcoming real-time, high-fidelity Ondulus IR, a new non-ITAR Infrared simulator to be launched later in the year.
“Presagis’ simulation tools allow defense forces to rehearse their missions in extremely realistic virtual environments. Sensor vision offers one of the most important advantages in today’s battlefield. It allows warfighters and intelligence collectors to see further and better than the enemy in reduced visual environments. Sensor training has become an important part of today’s simulator requirements,” said Jean-Michel Brière, general manager of Presagis.
With boosted performance, more realistic marine effects and CIGI (Common Image Generator Interface) support, Vega Prime 15 offers some of the best Out the Window image generation capabilities on the market. Vega Prime and Ondulus sensors are supported by a unique content creation workflow which makes it easier than ever to create planet-wide, multi-domain, structured GIS (Geographic Information Systems) databases thanks to the OpenFlight and CDB open formats.
“When readiness, turnaround time and joint simulation environments are critical, customers can depend on this approach to achieve mission success” added Brière.
High-fidelity immersive databases are at the heart of the Presagis expertise. Creator and Terra Vista 15 users will discover the new unified Material Classification workflow, allowing easy sensorization of both 3D models and terrains.
In addition, Terra Vista 15 now integrates new procedural generation tools allowing users to quickly build large urban environments.
STAGE 15 offers faster scenario creation and ground navigation enhancements that make it easier than ever to add crowds, traffic and convoys to your constructive simulations. With robust DIS/HLA support and massive scalability, STAGE is the ideal tool for joint training or distributed missions operations.
The latest enhancements of FlightSim and HeliSim 15 will be leveraged in a helicopter simulator and an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) simulation on display at the booth.
To showcase the real-world benefits for joint operations and homeland security, a UAS border surveillance scenario will be presented. The demo will feature a ground control station, electro-optical camera, infrared and radar sensor simulation, a virtual UAV simulation, and artificial intelligence-supported mission and computer generated forces.
The storyline will revolve around the U.S. Marshals, Coast Guard, and customs and border protection agents as they enforce surveillance of their jurisdictions.
