OAS Aircraft Support, LLC (“OAS”) announced that in an effort to better serve the demanding needs of world class helicopter fleet operators such as the US Department of State and the US Military, OAS has elected to relocate its large scale helicopter MRO operations to Enterprise, Ala.
The Lakeside facility is currently being evaluated for continued operations and in the interim it will continue to provide world wide support for global Bell medium helicopter maintenance, overhauls, and spare parts.  Management has indicated that it may look at other potential sites in Arizona where logistics could be improved across all of its businesses.  Many of the employees of the Lakeside facility are being offered positions at the Alabama site to continue to serve current contracts.
The current Alabama facility provides the benefit of a larger contiguous facility and improved local aviation logistical support, experienced aviation workforce, and proximity to key customers such as the Department of State and the US Military.  In addition to those advantages, through the important cooperation and support of the State of Alabama and the City of Enterprise, a new world-class 64,800 square foot DCMA and NFPA 401 compliant aircraft maintenance facility is being constructed at the Enterprise Airport which is Hub Zone and 8a qualified location. The facility which is currently under construction is expected to be fully completed in the fall of 2014.
