MD Helicopters sells a dozen more trainers to Afghanistan

MD Helicopters of Mesa, Ariz. has obtained a $35.6-million modification to firm-fixed-price contract W58RGZ-11-C-0070 to provide 12 rotary wing primary trainer MD 530F aircraft for the Afghan military.

Work will be performed in Mesa, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 29, 2015. Foreign Military Sales funds in the amount of $35,670,600 were obligated at time of award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal (Aviation), Alabama is the contracting agency.
