TMC International Ltd., a Japan based company supporting helicopters and aviation equipment, will rely on Heli-One to provide major airframe, engine and component overhauls that will maximize the resale value of their AS332 L1 Super Puma helicopter.

Heli-One employed the extensive experience gained as the world’s leading independent provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, to develop a service program to quickly prepare the aircraft for sale and ready it to receive upgrades customized to fit the purpose of the end buyer.

This service included a major airframe inspection, 9,000 hour G-Check, and complete overhauls of the main gear box and Makila 1A1 engine. When finished, the Super Puma will be stripped and painted in Heli-One’s state of the art paint facility. The work is expected to be completed in just four months.
“This kind of service offering is distinguishing Heli-One as an MRO leader on these airframe and engine types, and demonstrates our ability to deliver innovative solutions with rapid turnaround,” said Anthony DiNota, president, Heli-One.
“Heli-One is the only MRO provider in the world that has full Super Puma capabilities including airframes, components and engines and is certified under the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau, the European Safety Agency and the Federal Aviation Administration. In our 15 years working with Heli-One, they consistently deliver world class service with the shortest turnaround time and give us confidence to work with them,” said Tommy Nishimura, president, TMC International Ltd.
