EuroAvionics, a provider of situational awareness and mission management solutions for aviation, has received Airbus Helicopters first annual Suppliers Award in the category of “Innovation”. The award was presented by Airbus Helicopters at the Musée de L´Air near the Paris Air Show on June 16. The Suppliers Award brings together a selection of French and international suppliers of all sizes, ranging in revenue from millions to billions of dollars – all being recognized for their contributions to and support of Airbus Helicopters.
EuroAvionics is known within the aerospace industry as an innovative company with a rapidly evolving product portfolio and was recognized for innovation in two areas: Its contribution to the “Oil Rig Approach” designed to make a pilot’s approach towards oil rigs safer, which is currently tested on the latest upgrade of the H225. And the Enhanced Reality System (ERS) that is currently used by several German Police authorities. The ERS overlays in real-time data layers onto high definition camera feeds. The ERS also incorporates a compact high-performance video management unit that cross-connects and distributes independent video sources. Each video source can be recorded with the integrated multi-channel digital video recorder. All three functions are combined into a single ¼ ATR form factor unit.
Sven Bogner, EuroAvionics CEO said “We’re honored to be recognized for our innovations by such an important company in the aerospace industry.”
