Erickson Incorporated, a leading global company that provides comprehensive lift, placement, transport and logistics aviation services has announced that its subsidiaries comprised of air and maintenance operations, are each now certified as Wyvern Wingman Operators. This prestigious designation by Wyvern, Ltd. is awarded to aviation service providers who meet standards for flight and maintenance operations that exceed regulatory obligations.
The Wyvern Wingman Standard has been recognized as the industry’s gold standard in aviation safety for twenty-two years and is constantly updated to reflect a commitment to current industry best practices and the highest level of safety culture and protocol. Wingman Operators must successfully pass a Wingman audit, which demands transparency with respect to operational history, safety records, standard operating procedures, operational definitions, pilot experience, ongoing training practices, and a close evaluation of critical programs such as the Safety Management System and Emergency Response Plan.
Erickson now joins the elite tier of Wyvern Wingman operators which consist of 120 global operators flying over 1,350 aircraft,” said Art Dawley, chief executive officer of Wyvern. “Our corporate clients and charter broker network will be the beneficiaries our new partnership and we look forward to promoting Erickson throughout our international network. We are proud to award the Wingman designation to Erickson and welcome them to our program of select operators that have committed to the development of a strong and just safety culture.”
Jeff Roberts, chief executive officer and president of Erickson, Incorporated, commented, “We are pleased to have been rewarded for our efforts to ensure that our employees, customers and partners can rely upon us in this most critical area. We believe that this designation illustrates our commitment to safety, underscores our position as a world-class aviation services company, and provides further evidence to customers and prospects of our commitment to best in class service and operations.”
The company’s number one guiding principle is passenger and employee safety, and the new status as a Wingman Operator demonstrates Erickson’s commitment and adherence to provide safe and reliable helicopter and fixed-wing transportation.
