At the upcoming Heli-Expo, set to take place in Louisville, Ky. from March 1 to 3, Elbit Systems (Booth 6733) will present a range of unique and cutting-edge solutions for the commercial helicopter market. The company will present its unique display concept depicting out of cockpit boundaries solutions for helicopters.
Elbit Systems’ wearable head up technology combined with the multispectral helicopter HeliEVS enables pilots to fly while looking outside of the cockpit all the time, enhancing safety and situational awareness. The Elbit Systems’ booth is built to support this concept with a unique simulation: various scenarios such as rig approach, emergency medical service mission in snowy mountains and more are projected on a half transparent glass-screen that represents the “real world” environment.
This unique display concept will provide visitors with a hands-on, real experience of the final configurations of the systems as they are used in actual flight.
The Elbit Systems’ helicopter avionics product line for commercial aviation applications fuses both synthetic and real-time imagery using unique design symbology and computer flight guidance. These features offer helicopter pilots a real-world view of the terrain along with all obstacles within their flight path, allowing them to see and avoid even when visibility outside the aircraft is limited.
