First North-listed CybAero has delivered the last helicopter to Spanish IT group Indra. CybAero and Indra entered into an agreement in 2009 that has included helicopter systems with the capability to take off and land from ships.

CybAero signed a co-development agreement with Spanish IT group Indra in August 2009. The agreement included the customization of CybAero’s helicopter platform APID 60 to maritime end-uses, tailor-made for Indra’s needs. The jointly developed system is being marketed by Indra under the Pelicano product name. Under the agreement, CybAero was responsible for the development and adaptation of the mechanical platform and Indra developed certain electronics and systems integration. CybAero has now delivered the last helicopter under the agreement. Indra will now integrate the helicopter with its proprietary sensors and other equipment.

“We have had a good business relationship with Indra and the project has provided both of us with vital knowledge and technology which we will incorporate into our own products and systems. We will continue to develop maritime applications and provide them to our customers, albeit based on our own technology and our own platforms,” explains CybAero’s CEO Mikael Hult.
