Blade expands Bounce service to New York City area airports

Blade Press Release | December 18, 2014

Estimated reading time 1 minute, 39 seconds.

BLADE, the digitally driven aviation company that successfully brought crowdsourced helicopter flights to three Hamptons destinations, and on-demand helicopter charters between Manhattan and Teterboro (Bounce), has just announced an additional BLADE Bounce route which will operate between Manhattan and JFK Airport.
This additional Bounce route allows fliers requiring transportation between Manhattan and JFK Airport to secure a 6-seat Eurocopter within 20 minutes of their request. The flight takes 4 minutes.
“The response to BLADE Bounce to Teterboro has been phenomenal — especially since our travelers are landing by the side of their jet avoiding the terminal altogether. The time was right to widen this offering and allow our BLADE travelers to use Bounce between Manhattan and the area’s larger commercial airports,” saidEvan Licht, BLADE’s General Manager.
“With BLADE Bounce, flying between NYC and JFK, holiday travelers no longer have to ‘roll the dice’ — guessing about highway, city and bridge/tunnel traffic. They fly over it all and land inside the Airport, or on the return in Manhattan, in only 4 minutes,” said Greg Ramey, Director of New Markets.
The service started Dec. 17 and is offered at a special Holiday rate of $1,250 for the entire helicopter.
BLADE provides complimentary transportation from the helicopter directly to the terminal of the traveller’s choice for flights to JFK.
