The U.S. Navy has granted two contracts to the Bell-Boeing related to components on the V-22 tiltrotor. The first contract with the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office in Philadelphia, Pa. is valued at $9.45 million for components on the V-22’s flight display system, with completion expected in December 2016. This order provides for replacement of obsolescent components no longer available due to diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages, according to a U.S. Department of Defense contract notice.

The second is for Bell-Boeing’s Joint Project Office in Amarillo, Texas with a projected finish date of March 2017. The majority of the work under the $9.59-million contract will be carried out in Tucson, Ariz. and Philadelphia, with around one percent in Amarillo.
